Throughout the year we run and support many community events. From fun runs to adventure races to film festivals, and the best part… they all give back!
Established in 2007, we have proudly supported the youth in our community through our outdoor recreation programming aimed at getting kids active outdoors.
Hoodoo Adventures believes everyone deserves to experience the transformative power of nature.
Our initiatives have enabled local kids to spend more than 350,000 combined hours outdoors. Furthermore, our economic impact on the region through our sport tourism efforts has been analyzed in the millions of dollars each year.

Expedition Canada - Adventure Racing World Championships 2025
An Epic Adventure - A Huge Success!
Hoodoo Adventures and Expedition Canada hosted the Adventure Racing World Champs 2025 and it was a massive success!
AR involves trekking, mountain biking, paddling, orienteering, and rope skills.
Teams of 4 from 25+ nations navigated their way, unsupported, around the clock, through an arduous 800+km course that was only revealed to them hours before the start.

Penticton Beer Run
Covering 10 breweries and local eateries, this 6K walk/run is the most fun event of the year!
Starting down the KVR trail as participants sample their way through Penticton.
Tastings from local and regional breweries and eateries are included.
This event is a must-do of the year!

Peak Challenge
Apex Mountain - Next Race - 2026
After a year hiatus to host the Adventure Racing World Championships. We’ll see you again in 2026!!
This trail running race covers either 1 or 3 stunning peaks of beautiful Apex Mountain.
The one peak course covers approximately 11.5kms of trail with 622 meters of elevation gain.
The 3 peaks cover 31.5kms and over 1000 meters of elevation gain!
From village to dirt road, single track to lakes, ridges and amazing mountain views, this event has it all.
